$150 reward for the identification of this man

I am offering $150 for first person to provide me with the correct identification of this man.

Who is this person?

  Who is this person?

I attended the Denver Tea Party on April 15 with my wife and two of my kids.  I estimate that there were more than 5000 people there. They were loud and determined, but orderly and well-behaved.  Ages ranged from toddlers to old-timers.  I took a lot of pictures of people holding signs, placards and banners, conversing briefly with many of them, and found them to be polite and accommodating.   If you are interested, you can see some of them at the end of  my video of the event.

But the guy in the picture above bothered me.  I suspected at the time that he was there as a plant to make the conservative tea partiers look bad.  He carried the only profane sign that I saw among hundreds of signs.  I took his picture and put it in my archive in case I ever chose to pursue the question.  The Maurice Schwenkler window smashing attack  on the Denver Democratic party headquarters piqued my interest again.

I am willing to concede that this person may be a conservative jerk.  Out of 5000 people there had to be at least one.  But my guess is that he was not a conservative at all.   If I am wrong I will admit it and drop the question.

So, upon confimation of his identity, I will give $150 to the first person who has given me the information I need to identify this man.  Any information about his political affiliations will also be appreciated.

Billy Tauzin’s deal with Obama

Do you remember when candidate Barack Obama was going to save us from the evil drug companies and their lobbyists?  Maybe this campaign ad, titled “Billy,” will help spur your memory:

Here are the exact words from the ad:

Barack Obama: The pharmaceutical industry wrote into the prescription drug plan that Medicare could not negotiate with drug companies. And you know what the chairman of the committee, who pushed the law through went to work for the pharmaceutical industry making 2 million dollars a year.

 Imagine that.

That’s an example of the same old game playing in Washington. You know I don’t want to learn how to play the game better, I want to put an end to the game playing.

The reason this campaign ad was titled “Billy” is because the “chairman of the committee, who pushed the law through” is named Billy Tauzin.  Tauzin is now the chief executive officer of the  Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, known as PHaRMA.  Back when Obama was still a candidate the National Journal noted

NBC News/National Journal reporter Aswini Anburajan reports that the spot comes directly from Obama’s stump speech and that Tauzin’s story is Obama’s favorite example of how lobbyists interfere with policymaking in Washington.

Really?  I guess that explains why Obama just made an $80 billion dollar deal with the very same lobbyist,  Billy Tauzin, promising to block Medicare from negotiating with drug companies, doing the exact same thing he was critical of in his campaign ad.  Will the Obama zombies twist themselves into pretzels trying to justify this?  Or will they be victims of the main stream media and simply never know it happened?

Senseless opposition to “Birther Bill,” H.R. 1503

Why all the the angst, sarcasm and rage on the left over the “Birther Bill” (“H.R. 1503 – The Presidential Eligibility Act”)?  Read the Government Printing Office certified copy of the bill for yourself and decide for yourself.  It’s really a no-brainer: The Constitution requires that the President must be a natural born citizen, and the “Birther Bill” requires that he must prove it.  How can anybody be against that?

Here is and example of a rant accusing anyone supporting the “Birther BIll” of being racist:

The left would see the “Birther Bill”  as a simple method to defuse a potent argument from the right – that President Obama does not meet the constitutional requirements to be President.  Indeed, many on the left insist that President Obama has already easily satisfied this requirement (as asserted in the above video), so why not make it official?   This would have the added political advantage for the left of a gigantic embarrassment for the right.

Something about opposition to this bill just doesn’t make sense.

The Birther Bill

What is the problem with the so called “Birther Bill,” put forth in the US house or representatives as “H.R. 1503 – The Presidential Eligibility Act”  Here is the text of the act, as of 8/12/09, direct from the Government Printing Office

HR 1503 IH

1st Session

H. R. 1503

To amend the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 to require the principal campaign committee of a candidate for election to the office of President to include with the committee’s statement of organization a copy of the candidate’s birth certificate, together with such other documentation as may be necessary to establish that the candidate meets the qualifications for eligibility to the Office of President under the Constitution.

Garry Trudeau, the author of the Doonesbury comic strip and husband of Jane Pauley, thinks he has it figured out.  He expresses his logic below…

Doonesbury 090812

I’ve heard that the some of the founding fathers thought it was important that the President of the United States be a non-naturalized citizen.   Garry Trudeau’s wise words got me wondering if some of the founding fathers had, in fact, been Nazis.  You can imagine my shock when I found this painting of James Madison in the musty basement of a Philadelphia tavern…

Painting reveals James Madison's ties to the Nazis. (Tom Moriarty takes full credit blame for this picture.)

The facts have become very clear to me now.  Madison is considered by many to be the father of American system of government.  But his involvement is just the tip of the iceberg.  The next painting shows the military lunatic, George Washington, rallying other criminals to sign that dastardly Nazi document, the Constitution of the United States.  If you look closely you can see several party members raising their arms in the traditional Nazi salute.  Help stop these madmen and make the office of President of the United States a safe ambition for all citizens of the world – tell your congressman to vote against “H.R. 1503 – The Presidential Eligibility Act.”
